Is it really free for a year?

Yes — contractually. For the first 12 months of any venue partnership there is no SaaS bill, no per-cover fee, no transaction fee and no revenue share. The Year-1 pledge is written into the partnership agreement, not a promotional rate.

Do I need new hardware?

No. Nomad Partners runs on Android tablets and iPads, floor mode runs on Android handhelds, kitchen mode runs on an Android tablet at the pass, and BOUNCER runs on a single Android phone at the door. You use devices you can buy anywhere.

What happens to my existing POS?

Nomad Partners replaces it. Order taking, kitchen tickets, billing, split payments and daily close all run inside the one app — that is the point: one stack, one login, one ledger.

How does the 2% settlement work?

From Year 2, Nomad earns 2% of bills tracked through the platform, settled every Monday for the previous week. A small guest convenience fee at bill-pay time is earmarked against it — so in practice the venue pays nothing out of pocket. The settlement view shows every tracked bill.

Does Nomad rank venues for money?

No. Venues cannot pay to rank higher on the Nomad map, and there is no promoted placement. Discovery reflects what is actually happening in the city — never a bid.
